well, i don't know where to post this, so i thought here would be best.

i want to use the GTE ignition(cps, coil packs, ignitor) on the GE motor. i was thinking about useing the GTE head alltogether, since it's in great shape and has new valve stem seals. anybodt thought of this. would the NA ecu work, i have a turbo ecu, pretty much everything i need to go NA-T if i wanted to, but i need it to be reliable until i get the 2jz in there.

that's why i figured i would need to use the turbo ecu, but then i'd have to get a wideband, afc and other stuff, just not worth it i guess.

You can also kiss the ACIS goodbye and the timing advance will be less aggressive. You'd also need the AFM.

It's always possible you could do it with some custom electronics, but the costs probably wouldn't be worth it.

i have all the GTE electronics, even have a lexus afm, gte fuel injectors, ecu,

i was thinking of putting just the head on. looks like the distributer and cps go in the head the same. and also using the gte intake manifold. i don't know if GTE cams would be an improvement.

i know the cams are interchangeable (im using GE cams in my GTE)
i know using a ge cam in the gte shifts some power down low (not much, at all) but im not quite sure of gte cams in ge.. might be interesting.\

Im pretty sure the ge cams have longer duration and less lift, and the gte has shorter duration and a higher lift, feel free to correct me.

What is it you guys are shooting for? A weaker 7M-GE than the one in the Cressida?

so it looks like GTE electronics will work. about the only benefit i see though is getting rid if the distributer and having coil packs. i have everything i need to do NA-T, but i want reliability right now, which is exactly what i have.
