I agree with the assesment on the powertrain. However, not on the car itself. The new edge 199-2004 Cobra as a vehicle is more like the MA70 Supra. Heavy and filled with luxury.

500 rear wheel horsepower on 9 psi. Not too shabby, even for a Ford.

The red convertible M3 is a customer car. We have decided to invest 250.000 USD on our tuning and motorsport business. We are moving to a bigger facility. In the coming days, next week or the other week, we will be buying an E46 M3 as a demonstration car for us, for DA MOTORSPORT. This &#8220;company M3&#8221; will have stage 2 turbocharger kit, 900 horsepower. Forged pistons, forged connecting rods, head studs, main bearing studs, and lots of details&#8230; Boost pressure will be 30 psi, yes 30 psi all of the time. We will use 19&#8221; wheels, big brake kits, coil overs, Recaro buckets, light weight body parts&#8230;. as this will be our proud M3. 900 horsepower M3 will carry DA MOTORSPORT warranty for 30.000 miles.

We have one point to make clear: should we opt for a SMG or manual M3? We doubt that SMG will work at 900 hp. If there is any info or feedback about &#8220;SMG and modified clutch kits&#8221;, we will appreciate. Did anyone use SMG with a modified clutch?

As a conclusion two E46 M3s will be turbocharged by DA MOTORSPORT. 540 hp stage 1 and a 900 hp stage 2, both kits will be for sale as complete bolt on packages. We are the first motorsport company with complete, mass produced, bolt on turbocharger kits for E46 M3. Next week pictures will be on our website.

Boost pressure will be 8-9 psi. S54 turbocharged will make 540 horsepower at the flywheel. DA ignition coils and ignition amplifier will add the final touch and excellence.

While BMW builds a fine automobile, I would take a 1JZ swap in my car in a heartbeat before I wasted big money like that. At least I wouldn't have to change out all the internals to pass 500 rwhp.
