Green Wire on CPS Harness Cut

Hi All, Newbie need help...

I have starting problems with my 87 Turbo, cranks but wont start, been reading up on this forum and figured that it could be my CPS Harness and sure enough it is...

The green wire attached to the green connector/plug is cut right at the base (male side):aigo:
so, I need to replace the whole connector/plug, anybody know if NAPA or other stores carry these plugs, local toyota don't have it.

You can replace it with any 4 wire plug, just get both male and female ends.

You know where I can get them, just got back from Toyota, they can't identify it, I have to bring the connector for them to order it...

NAPA, AutoZone, Radio Shack, Discount, Pep Boys, don't have it...

Any where else???

You can always just hard wire it.

Dude, Napa and Autozone ABSOLUTELY have one.

Stop trying to find exactly the same connector. You need a 4 wire connector. ANY 4 wire connector will do. Hell, in a pinch you could hardwire it and skip the connector.

i temporarily hardwired it until i found one. i ended up buying a connector for a trailor hitch. most places like napa and autozone sell universal trailor hitch connectors. make sure to get a four wire male and female connector. make sure to label the wires so you dont hook them up wrong

Your right, I'll go ahead and hard wire the thing and replace it later.

i tried one of those before, and i couldnt get the pins to make contact with eachother. spent an hour working on it, so i gave up.

If you hardwire it, make sure you do NOT use solder. It will cause a stress point and under vibration it will split.

Use a crimper and shrink tubing for weather proofing.

Yea i couldnt understand it either. i consider myself really good at figuring things out. you crimp the pins to the wires and push them through one side of the connector until it clicks. then do the other connector until it clicks. then put the stopper on the inside of the connectors.... except when i did it the pins didnt make contact.
im baffled how much time i spent trying over and over again to make it work.... i just gave up
