Greddy Type S / external wastegate

I just got my 1JZ swap done and I'm running a t61 single and an external 46mm wastegate. With my boost controller (Greddy Type S) off, I peak at a consistent 10 psi. With it on, the lowest it will go is 15 psi (all knobs set to min).

I have the solenoid set up as per the instructions (COM and NC). Maybe this is just normal behaviour?

COM goes to the feed and NC to the top of the wastegate. The side of the wastegate goes to the feed line direct.

I just took a look at the install manual again and they say to do it the other way around. COM to top of wastegate and NC to feed.

Could that be all it is? I'll make the change and try it out again tomorrow.

did you hook the com to the top of the waste gate or the side?

Yes, the boost controller has a vac source on it. I used it on my 7M setup with a single port wastegate actuator and it worked fine then.

Thanks

If its setup correctly, put in a softer spring. does the boost controller have a vacuum source in it?
