well as some of u may or may not know, ive been working on my NA-T project. and finally this weekend my car finally started. but the only problem i had was it was leaking oil at the oil feed line going to the turbo. so i had to take everything apart and tighten the feed line up. but i havent put everything back together yet, have to wait till next weekend. but it was the greatest moment in my life. but the only thing is, i just have to get the idling right.

Maybe after some pictures, you'll get one or two happy dances depending on how good it looks of course.

well i first started with my 86.5 but wrecked it last year and then got my 87 turbo mk3, then blew a hg in march. so i just took out the turbo motor and swapped in my na motor out of my 86.5 and used the turbo electronics. i took out the gte motor because i plan on building it next summer hopefully

to me it really wasnt that hard, but i just ran into a lot of complications. i had to take two motors out and started off the wrong way. b/c i took the motor out of the 87 and didnt take the tranny out with it, so that was my first mistake. my second was doing the swap outside in the middle of the yard and couldnt use a cherry picker because it kept sinking into the ground. so i had to use a tractor with a bucket on it to get both motors out.

then i finally decided to take out tranny and it fell on my hand and cut it really deep first on top and then on the bottom. well then i had to change the flywheel put a pilot bearing in the ge motor, since it came from an auto tranny. then had to order my ss braided oil feed/return lines and weld a fitting into my oil pan for my return line.

but all in all it took me maybe 14 weeks only working on it one day a week for maybe 3-4 hours each day to get me where i am now. and i am glad to say that i will hopefully be happy with the results.
