man i played that game for the first time to day really easy to stay on the road but i cant drift worth a dam on that game

You have to take off all of the driving aids under "Settings" (the red tool box) before going out onto the track. Plus you have to do some suspension tuning to make it manageable.

Edit: Just messed around with the dirt and snow courses. Minus the license tests I've never really touched those tracks, but holy crap are they fun
