Got some free tires

Hey, I Just came up on a set of sumitomo htr z 2's. But they're 225 60 16. Will it fit on stock suspension on a mk3

thats a tall sidewall but it will fit. 26.6" overall height vs 24.86" stock overall height. if your suspension is a little mushy it may rub the inner fender liners on heavy bumps.

We had to put 60's on my stepson's MKIII, and boy did it look like ass. Use em if you have to, but you'll be hating them for sure.

Not only are they narrower and taller than stock, but they're free for a reason. Any chance they're old? An old tire is more likely to ruin your day with a blowout. Just my $0.02.

Reminds me of Cadillac's, got massive sidewalls and a plush ride. Now if the rear tires were wider, they might be considered drag tires.

theyre not narrower, theyre 225's. I got em from a buddy at sears so i know theyre brand new.
