I got them, thanks!

You've got a very nice engine ;).

I see on the manifold and the heat sheilds, John did my heat sheilds (including a pristine condition turbo heat sheild) in chrome ceramic.

He did your turbo too, correct? If so, I like it a lot!

Thank you guys for the kind words. I'm very happy you're pleased with the work :)
Your engine bay is looking superb Brandon!

I like the look alot. How long have you had the parts in the engine bay? I have heard from a few people who have had their parts coated that they turned a dull grey over time. I beleive the ones that turned grey used Fireball coatings but I would have to double check. I was just wondering what he used and how long the lustre lasts.

This is a 2000 deg rated, mil-spec coating...it will not turn gray on parts that do not get hot. On exhaust parts, it will turn a titanium gray, but will never flake, bubble or chip. Applying it correctly is expremely important...I bead blast the parts clean, apply the coating (exhaust parts are done on the inside too), bake it on at 500 deg for 2 hours, and polish in a bead polisher. The final polish is done by hand using Blue Magic polish. Once its on, dirt/grease will clean right off using almost any good cleaner...409 works well for me.

Chris - yep, did his turbine housing too ;)

The powdercoatings I've seen dull over time...seems the heat under the hood eventually causes the coating to degrade.

Yes, the turbo needs to be disassembled and both housings are coated on the inside, but only the outside gets a final polish. The inside is "challenging" to coat properly. I do not coat center sections...too easy to damage the wheels. I prefer that the compressor/turbine housings are sent without the center section...saves at bit on shipping too.

eventually, the exhaust manifold will be done, I have another one that I'm doing some port work to - so its going to be a little while before that's done.

Besides, since everything just got back together, I just want to drive the damn thing!!!

As I need to. Greg puts such a damn big lip on the IC pipes that the clamps I have are going to break before the pipes pop out (they are the smooth underside worm clamps). I'll prob change all the topside to t-bolt so they look the same. All in due time...

Believe me I know exactly what you're talking about ;).

You have to use a little muscle to get his couplers over the pipes, I've done it before, I just don't like the fact that the worm clamps bite into the silicone when tightened down.
