the passing out has to do with anxiety.
You're wicked excited about the tattoo...and your adrenaline is going full tilt.
Then the needle hits..you adjust to the pain..and your body goes .."damn..this aint that bad" and turns the adrenaline off..cold turkey.

That's what causes the light headedness etc.. I had the same deal only I didn't pass out just got lightheaded and cold...took a 5 min break drank a coke and was good to go till the finish.. bout an hour.

I hear that second third, etc etc tattoo's don't induce this because you know exactly what to expect at that point.

hmm. i never felt like passing out when i got my first tattoo. my first tattoo is the giant grim reaper on my back. took about 3 hrs. to do, and i was 16 at the time. next tattoo is the "SUPRA Mkiii" going down my forearm.

anyway, nice tat and doo. what's the meaning of the tatt? i have an idea, but just curious.

I'd be willing to bet that eating a full meal and being well-hydrated would have somewhat of a positive effect on your reaction to getting a tat.

I don't have any tats and I don't forsee myself getting one any time soon, but there's a possibility that I'll get one or some a ways down the road. If I do, then it or they will have something to do with music.

lol Exactly what i was thinking, the only places i could see myself getting one would be on my upper arm... I was going to get the gracie jui jitsu logo there.
