Well as the title says, I got a new car the other day. Now when I say new, I don't mean brand new, but its new to me.

Anyway, the car I picked up was a 1967 Chevelle 4 door. The body is in real good shape and it runs good. I traded my Lexus for it and I'm getting a beater for the winter.

Its got a 250 I6 (about 4.1 liters), not some big V8. But I'm satisfied with it for now.

Anyway, on to some pics.

You can see its got a few spots that need some attention, but I looked underneath and most of the rust is just on the surface. So I hope to have a fun project coming up for me.

Well I wasn't sure when I got it, but I really like it the way it is. Might just be a nice car to cruise around in come summer, but we'll see what happens when I start thinking about going faster.

Sweet. :) I love Chevelles. My dad's got a '70 Chevelle Malibu ragtop (bleh). That I6 250 is a reliable S.O.B.- I had the same motor in my '71 Chevy C-10 Stepside. I beat the piss out of that from age 16-22, and it just kept running!

I miss that truck. :nono:

I hate to bring a thread back from this long ago, but I didn't want to make a new one when I already had a thread for this car in this forum so I hope its ok.

Anyway, I switched my breaker point distributor out for a HEI one yesterday. It all hooked up good and runs great, unless I try and hook up the vacuum advance, then the car just stalls out. But otherwise the car runs perfect, even with the vac line open, which I thought was odd, I didn't think that cars were supposed to run good with big vacuum leaks.

Anyway, if anyone knows whats up with my vacuum advance that would be great.
