Didn't occur to me that they came with old lady transmissions also!

nope.

JZA70s are a mix of torsens and clutchpacks and 4.10 and 3.91 ratios.

We have seen a whole lot of jza70's but we have never seen anything but a 4.10 torsen come with them. Maybe they were only sold in certain markets?
I can see how JDM cars would not want a lsd because of the ice and snow.
