so i got a free 89 Yota Celica ST(BASE model) with a thrown rod, sounds HORRIBLE but still will move under its own power. Perfect interior, perfect body, and all accesories(ps, ac, stereo) work, and its also 5spd. Sooo im obviously going to need to pull the motor and put a new bottom end in it. Worth it? or not? i have the Supra as a daily driver now but would much rather have this as a DD so i can do some extensive projects on the supra without worrying about it. Also has plates from a different state and tags that expired in 05(more $$) Fix it, or send it to the scrap yard before i put it in my name?

22RE's have been built reliable many times. Far more reliable than the 7m will be from what I've heard. But you can also stick a 7m in there. Otherwise.. Let us have some interior parts and then scrap it for $150.

What color is it? You wanna give me both headlights assemblies and the front passenger qp and the drivers side door lock guard thing if you decide to scrap it? lol

If your supra is the project. Then I think the best advise is dont make this another go-fast project. You said this could be your daily driver right? So make it one. Fix it, make it fairly reliable and keep it stock. Spend as little as you can on it and drive it. Put the big bucks in the SUPRA. I know it could be another swap project like others have said, but you said

"i have the Supra as a daily driver now but would much rather have this as a DD so i can do some extensive projects on the supra without worrying about it."

So do that.
