if the car is mechanically sound and looked after i dont think 9 psi would be a big problem. i personally wouldent want to push it much more than 10 on a stock head gasket that hasn't been re-torqued to 75 ft-lbs or so. im still on the stock HG with exhaust, intake, bosch 110 bpv, and a mbc from doc J. i havn't had any problems as of yet but i dont go out and beat on the car every other day. how long it will last depends on a lot of things but like i said, if the car is in good shape, i dont think you would have problems. just watch your temp guage from time to time :biglaugh:

I've hit fuel cut like crazy with open 3" dp and intake with hks ssqv bov. Stock hg.. Never blew it. I even took my car to the track one last night before i pulled the motor and everything held up real well. Bishop has seen as much as 24psi on a stock hg w/ 57trim turbo. If its been retorqued sure its not a problem. Good plugs, wires, high octane gas like 93 should help keep it from detonating. Detonation is the leading cause of a BHG!
