You can't MAKE someone breastfeed.

Sometimes, it is just not possible, despite everyone's breast efforts.

Fixed that for you.

"Make"... lol. That word pissed me off, I had typed out a huge rant, but decided to hit the back button instead yesterday.

"MAKE" SHOULD HAVE BEEN "ENCOURAGE"

There.

mkIISupraMan18 = male chauvinist pig

*boo* mkIISupraMan18... *hiss*

The benefits of breastfeeding almost constitutes the make, imo though... :sarcasm:

Doesn't matter. Your opinion is still just that, an opinion, and shouldn't be enforced upon anyone, especially your wife.

It is an extremely touchy subject, in case you hadn't noticed ;)

And until you have had a baby and had to deal with all the issues associated with this decision (or lack thereof), you need to shush :p

If I were you, I'd stop, or T and I are going to go all internet kung-fu on your ass :sarcasm:

I guess it's my sense of humor... *sigh*

It is a shame, but I have done a complete study, and one of those cannot be read on the forums. You can type in all the humor you want, but it is just words in type once everybody else reads it. I hate to type in a joke, and come back to see that the only one who saw the humor was me, and I have stared all kinds of drama.

Thanks guys for a congrats, thanks grim for the advice, and no this isn't an April fools joke.

LMK if there's anything I can do to help out. If you have a boy, I've got a sh*t ton of 'only worn once' clothing.

Which brings me to another piece of advice. If you get a lot of newborn clothes (and you will) if you or mom doesnt absolutely love it, don't cut the tags off of it. Take it back and get bigger outfits... or bibs/burp cloths. lol We felt bad taking the stuff back so we ended up spending an afternoon playing dress-up taking pics of Nick in different outfits that people had gotten him... some I think were the only time he could fit into them.

Also, Target brand diapers suck. We had blow-out after blow-out with them. You know the kind... where its quicker and easier to throw them in the tub than to use half a box of wipes cleaning off their legs/back... :biglaugh:

Just remember, you can over plan everything...I just went by the seat of my pants..Unfortunately, I had to do it alone..I even had to walk the 1/4 of a mile to the hospital.. Just know, nothing goes as planned..Just like a wedding....You just need to go with the flow

Trust me, I was poked, and prodded more times in that last month that in my life...my advice to her is this: DO NOT DO THE PREGNANCY CRAVINGS..Eat tons of fruits and veggies..Also, do prenatal yoga and water aerobics..do tons of walking and even light jogging until the doctor says stop..the fitter the pregnancy, the easier the birth..Thats what really help my labor, I was very fit...I had 17 hours of labor with pushing contractions and no paint without pain killers..Also, I had to have a c-section..if she has to have one, make sure she gets up within 12 hours..Its the only way to keep her moving..Which is what she needs

^I'd suggest talking to the doc first... ESP if walking/jogging would be something new, the last thing her body needs is a new source of stress.

But deff a good idea to stay active.

How do you figure?

I think maybe, if you're already overweight, you need to be more cautious on what you are consuming, but since I wasn't, I just ate whatever and was fine. Last time I had a baby, I was 172lbs the night I had her and a few hours after my epidural wore off, I waddled my ass down to a scale and I was 140lbs, and 2 weeks later was back down to 130lbs (which Ive stayed for 5 years, although I was 110lbs before having my 1st kid in 2001)Getting cravings is your body telling you what you need. Craving meat? You're low on iron or protein. Craving sweet things? Well that's obvious, need sugar. I LIVED by my cravings, practically, and I gained a normal amount of weight and had a decent pregnancy despite going into pre-term labor a few times (needless to say, I was told not to have sex for a few weeks, which made me GRR).

I've had 3 kids, and each pregnancy was different, but fairly easy despite feeling like a beached whale. I didn't stop doing my normal routines, I still worked on cars and was fairly active. I swam a lot and slept a lot and ate a lot. LOL
