I'm actually curious myself to see what people come up with. I've been driving around with one missing because it got a little too friendly with a rock coming off some semi's tire on the highway. Just to clarify Rob, are you looking for clear/white ones or yellow? I've seen some supra's set up with some really nice yellow fog lights before and they look pretty dang nice.

I have JDM/Euro Fogs in mine, ive only used them once but they seemed to help out quite a bit better than my standard white foglights. Im sure if you wanted something more effective get some big ol PIAA lamps or something. Im sure someone else will chime in.

Well when i drive through fog (i drive slow) and i just run off the foglamps and have the headlights off, but yes Euro/JDM fogs should do the trick but finding a set for a Pre89 is quite hard.

the JDM/Euro Foglights have a Yellow Capsule inserted into the foglamps, the light passes through this filter (capsule) and emits a selective yellow light. As far as differenced among them some JDM/Euro lamps didnt have reflector shields in the housings and some did. Ill post some pics.

Here you have JDM/Euro Foglamps with no reflector in the housings

I dont know pros and cons to having the reflector/sheild there or not but im guessing theres a reason some came with them and some didnt. Wish there was more info on it.
