I read in here that auto's sound like crap with a decent exhaust, like it kinda drones out. Any suggestions? Thanks

???! my first supra was an auto turbo. just had a 2.5in straight exhaust with a straight through muffler. sounded awesome- deep. tranny will make no diff in sound the engine makes.

I think he means if it's an exhaust that tends to drone at around 2-3 grand then when you really get on it it will sound kinda weird, and in between shifts it might sound a little weird... like a nasty auto honda with a fart can on it! :barf:

ya, as we don't get to (have to?) run up and down the gears and the RPM's we're a bit more locked into a certain RPM range. I would like it to be somewhat quiet, until I let er rip. Well, at least as well as a stock auto will rip anyways...:biglaugh:

supra (inline 6) will NEVER sound like a honda (piece shit). supras have a very deep, distinct sound- just like rotary's sound like a very big, pissed off bee (but still badass). hell, all hondas, at least the b- series sound the same.

Same..I made my own 3" exhaust with dynomax race muffler and 3" cat.
Sounds very loud but very cool.

I have yet to encounter a cop to tell me if its too loud. At idel you can hear it a few houses away. On the road it is very loud.

Cheers,
Roy

not that it will sound very different, it's just how it sounds between shifts. I've never really liked how autos sound..
