ok soo went to the machine shop to check up on how the motor is coming along. He got it apart and found out the crank is still good but will need to be re grounded. Also the clutch on it is pretty close to be done. So now my question is he will price me out a stock clutch what is usually the price of the stock one? should I go with an aftermarket one?? Point is I don't need anything fancy as I don't want to go and blow alot of money on this. So yeah any good clutchs for like under 300 hp on a stock like engine?

hp goals and specs of your car?
300 hp is my reasonable goal.

just mbc@ 12 psi
intake and full exhaust
stock clutch should still even be good for this level but if its more expensive then a good aftermarket one then I think and aftermarket one is a better idea....Also the car is a DD so I don't need something thats rated for like 500+ hp and is tough to drive the car with

edited orig. post.. If you find a good one for cheap, lmk. Tell us what you end up with. Gl! You have a stock intercooler with hard pipes? There are some pretty good deals on aftermarket ones here, might be a good upgrade for you from the sounds of the setup imho.

Go to my clutch super thread, I posted my price for a stock replacement. 260 or so...

If you go on ebay their are stock replacement clutches there as well, just be concerned about the quality.

the mechanic will make some money off the clutch, just make sure he doesnt rake you over the coals.

i think I might go with the XTD clutch kit. I know know the whole scam shit but most ppl running it have had no problem And it just as good as a stock replacment wich IS more then fine enough for me then.

why? when it's more expensive than what it really is?

^haha, thanks.

But seriously buy from me, driftmotion, 935, HPF, but DONT support a scammer.

All of the people I listed spend hours on here every day helping you guys out with everything from tech help to entertaining offtopic stories. Hell Aaron spent the time (and money) to find out that XTD is a scammer. Give your money to someone who will be there to help if something goes wrong.
