Because it will make the same amount of power if not more, probably be lighter, wont require custom manifolds, 2 charge pipes, 2 sets of oil lines, 2 downpipes, and wont really provide any additional benefit beyond aesthetics.
Maybe because the 2JZ and 1JZ were designed from the ground up to be TT... and it came TT... which means I will leave it TT. Plus, I'm making a dual exhaust car.. one exhaust pipe per turbo.

What do you mean designed from the ground up to be TT? Boost is boost regardless of whether it comes from 2 snails or 1. I know that you know a lot of the 1j's were single turbo from the factory.

I can understand the logic behind running 2 if you are running dual exhaust but again that goes to aesthetic value moreso than functionality. And I wont even address cost since it seems to be a non-issue for you, but for others interested in twins it might be.

Don't get me wrong, I think twins look great in there, but for most of us its not how good you look getting there, its how fast did you get there.

= FTW!

Sorry. I had to. :p

It seems like there are a lot of Skylines running twin T3 and T3/T4 turbos and making a lot of power with little lag. Why not a JZ done the same way? I think it sounds like a good idea if you have a fabricator who is up to it or you can make your own manifold and downpipe(s).

Matt, I was thinking aboot the same thing for the 1j. I'm comtemplating having a custom T3 mani made and doing something in the order of twin GT-RS' (Which kinda falls in the lines of what Got_boosted was saying with the whole Skyline/RB26 thing). I haven't put very much thought and research into it yet though. After talking with Tim the other day, he pointed out to what drawbacks to having a bolt-on upgraded twins would be-both on the 1j-and on the 2j-and that was that the manifolds were really restrictive. Though is probably is more cost-effective anyway to have a manifold made, and buy 2 GT-RS' than have the stockers upgraded anyway. HKS makes a kit for the 2j, but it will cost you your left nut and several children.

I'm not going with the stock manifolds heeh.
