So that big on ebay for that nice HKS full cat is at around 500 bucks used so that is out of my limit.

My credit card is max (thanks to my happy supra toy swipe) and I need a catback because my stock is pretty beaten. I did a search online and can not seem to come to any results with this kit they sell on ebay.

I was wonder if anyone has brought this to do their custom setup? It looks to be a cheaper route so far so its worth asking because I can not find it in search.

Unless someone has a good deal on a full cat ummm anyone got any feedback with these?

Looks like its useless if you are going to upgrade anything else, as it seems to decrease to stock diameter at the cat.

Care to explain how so? I dont really understand...

I think MDC and 935 motorsports have better deals than that.....

yeah 935 motorsports definitely has a better set up for about $150, its a DIY. it comes with everything except a muffler. i plan on getting one of these and the total price with muffler is like $245. thats less than that one on ebay after you add the price of a muffler plus since 935 is a vendor here you know you're gettin the right thing

piping is piping so long as it has a constant diameter. That apears as though it doesnt.

Buy a muffler of your choice, buy a 3'' exhaust flange from BIC, and go to any decent muffler shop that knows anything about exhausts and they should have some mandrel bends and 3'' piping to make you a full catback system to your liking. May not be all shiney but then again only real visible part is the muffler.

Overall cost
Muffler - $100-200
flange - $10 each
piping/welding cost - $100

I bought my exhaust from 935. Cost me $270 shipped IIRC. w/ a Megan GT muffler as well...cost me $50 to get it welded. Good thing about it is it deletes the catalytic converter, but it does come with a high flow cat option and stainless steel option. I LOVE IT!

I turned this:

into this:

don't mind the HKS DP. it REALLY sits low ass hell...I should have opted for the Stainless Option though

Hey everyone,

I'm bringing this thread back. Has anyone tried this exhuast? I'm curious. It looks really nice. Full stainless, polished, minimal bends and cheap. I'm not sure the diameter of the piping decreases either, as I've seen that same closeup picture of the flange on other items from the seller. I emailed him to find out for sure, so I guess we'll see.

I'm just really surprised no one has tried this here.

That and that they aren't mandrel bent either, they're crush bent. Look at the two bends on the side that bolts up to your downpipe.

1) Not any more of a crush bend than the 935 system has.......

2) Welds are not perfect, but can any of you do better?
My 80mm Cressida system's welds look the same, but have had no failures.

3) Most aftermarket mufflers connect just fine by using a band clamp, and one end swagged up to slide over the other. A band clamp costs about $8, and having a muffler shop expand one end costs about $5

And saying a cheap eBay pipe system is junk,
and adding a Megun (Made in China) muffler to what you call a good system is contradictory thinking......

Did anyone notice how the Ebay catback is not a true 3" system? It looks like the flange is 2.5" then it flares out to 3". :biglaugh:

I guess it wouldn't really matter if you are running the stock cat, but if you are running a 3" cat or testpipe then I wouldn't buy that ebay catback; however, any exhaust shop should be able to chop it the restriction and weld on a 3" pipe with the correct flange.

I don't know, the welds look fine to me. I also contacted the seller, it is a true 3" system. The second picture is not of this item, so the piping diameter does not diminish by the flange. He verified that. It also says it is mandrel bent--granted another picture of the bends might help. And it is heat coated, so I'm really not seeing any problems here. :icon_conf

I just figured someone would have tried it out by now. Still looks pretty nice to me, especially for the price, $258 shipped. I had a custom exhaust made that's on my car now, and I'm not sure it's as nice as this.
