lol funny,

i have the same issue but around 2600-3000.

i can defenately power through it but in between the 600 rpm range there is no power at all.

the ecu is from a supra.

3inch exhaust, intake and aluminum IC pipes

came with a driftmotion FPR.

Im using a chaser ecu, it seems to happen when the motor starts to open up. I though it might have been the lack of fuel pump ecu, any thoughts? My safc-2 is showing the knock count to be fine it that helps.

Check your fuel filter.. I've seen them gunked as bad as causing a no start. Alsof check your afm/map/whatever your using. Could possible be a bad ecu but unlikely, more likely a sensor.

Also did you get those injectors cleaned/flow tested before you put them in? Could likely be a culprit.

Thanks for coming back and reporting, this is good to know in the middle of a swap.

The commonality seemed to be the FPR kit which was starting to puzzle me, good to know what it turned out to be.

By the way, has anyone tried running the Grand national MAP? I hear it's a 3bar MAP (Absolute) and needs a little rewiring and can be used.

Nice! I will be finding a map sensor asap!

I have the same problem, had it ever since went single. Bigger injectors, afpr, I can tune it out with my piggy-back but after a couple weeks it seems to reapear. Replaced ecu caps, went with gm 3bar map, new fuel filter, flow tested the injectors. 12v mod.
I read a thread a while back suggesting that it might be the ecu pulling fuel for when it switches voltage from 9-12v.

Fixed my problem by switching back to the stock FPR.

Doesnt make sense to me but, atleast it doesnt lean out anymore.

does anyone have the 1j map sensor trouble shooting guide?

i wanna get into more detail with this

I don't have the 1jz but I did find the 2jz trouble shooting guide.

Turbo Pressure sensor PM1:
With ignition switch on your value should be between 2.3 - 3.0.
With ignition switch on and vacuum applied at 26.7 it should be between 1.8 - 2.4.
