Well as far as the duty cycle is concerned, I don't think you would run the injector that hard trying to get into that power range. check this website.
http://www.rceng.com/technical.aspx

I found that at a 55 percent duty cycle at 50psi, (with .5 brake specific fuel consumption) that would put someone in the 450hp range with 668cc's on a N/A setup. I checked my injectors at a 70% duty cycle and 50psi at the fuel rail ( .62, brake specific fuel consumption for a turbocharged setup) I found that I would be at the 470 range, of course with a good tune.

those are pretty good numbers, what i meant to say was with a safc your only controlling 550 oft he 680 or whatever injector you choose to run, e shift is making 435 to the wheels on a safc but i am unsure of the injector size

Ok, so if the safc controls up to 550cc's of the 680cc injector, where do the other 130cc's fall in? Does the wideband compensate for the richer fuel level?

no thats where the problem lies. the ECU wont adjust for the extra, so that extra fuel is all over the place and you cant add fuel or subtract it where you need too. a wideband will just tell u hey u if it is stupid rich or leann. so unfortunately the safc is only a temp fix if your over 550cc and if your dumping to much fuel and not enough air ull get alot of sputtering and blacksmoke. not to forget HORRIBLE GAS MILEAGE

I should probably look into getting some 550's huh?

yeah base it off what your goals are for your car. its never good to cheap out on a Brain is it?

best of luck any questions feel free to PM me. and also talk to your tuner and see what they prefer or like since they will be the one tuning it :biglaugh:

Good stuff. Im looking into some 550 side feed injectors. I ran some numbers through RCeng's site and for 450hp to the crank im looking at having fuel pressure at 65psi, the duty cycle at .7 and brake specific fuel concumption at .62. my question is, would it be safe to run the duty cycle at .7 all the time or is that gonna burn up the injectors? Would I be better off just running it at .6 and turning up the fuel pressur another 5psi?

personally id rather be able to adjust the duty cycle vs the pressure too much pressure and things tend to fail ie pumps lines FPR.

That doesn't seem right. There is a guy in Aus who put down 306rwkw(410rwhp) on stock 440cc injectors with no piggy back. Pretty sure 550's and an SAFC would get you over 450hp.

feel free to recheck me :)

power depends on sea level and what you use to tune with, i have seen a safc make 335rwhp and then switch to PFC and make over 400 on the same mods..

I don't think you got my point, I'm saying that if someone can put down that power on 440cc injectors on a stock ecu, then I don't see how someone is going to need 600cc injectors to get 450 at the flywheel. Don't forget that Australian dyno's tend to read lower then American ones.

yeah....dosen't seem right to me either...600cc for 450 at the flywheel??? either way since i already have a safc, 550's will have to do....

Now that I think about it, you're probably right because the tune should dramatically help, like different A/F ratio's etc.

I'm goin single, the kit I have is a gt45 turbo, top feed 550cc injectors on a high flow rail with -8an fittingson both ends with an AEM fpr. I still have to buy a wideband for my new setup but I'm wondering if Emanage ultimate could be a likely piggy back for this setup and would I still need to run a safc like a neo?

OK
if you have a greddy emanage i don't think you need the afc neo, the greddy would do what the afc does plus more. you would only need the afc if you didn't have the emange.
