I watched it although I ff through alot of it. He should have have called and had it towed when the check engine light came on. I think he wanted it to blow up, but then again, who wouldn't want the dealer to put them in a new motor every twelve thousand miles?
That sucks that hes having so many problems with it, I have a friend with an LS2 GTO but his car is holding up fine maybe its because its made in the land down under by holden.

i saw this video a few weeks ago, he wasnt really trying to blow the motor. Its obviously in limp mode, if its not letting him get over 50mph or w/e.
And it doesnt mater, who cares, even if he put abuse on it, it should last way more than 12,000 miles.

A friends dad had gasoline put into his diesel truck and it did something like this. He pulled out of the station and immediatly went into limp mode, he turned it off and coasted into a parking lot and had it towed.
He shoulda bought a BMW, they are a lot better, and 400hp out of a CTSV, not even on the crank man, who believes facotry ratings like that, he's kinda a tool, I never liked Cadillac, I say GM outta give him a C6 or a 07 Camaro SS or give him 30k to buy something else, and then pull the CTS line since I've seen more than a few on the side of the road, I think theres a few recalls they have not put in yet.
Of all the people on the planet to stick with a lemon car... they picked the WRONG ONE. Caddy should be at his doorstep with a brand new vehicle, handbuilt by a master mechanic, plus a suitcase full of cash. This guy could do more damage to their reputation in a week than Ralph Nader did in his entire life.

Parent's own 2 GM vehicles (Olds Silhouette van & Pontiac Bonneville Supercharged). Both 2000, w/ 100k on them. I can promise you, from the experiences we've had with these cars, I personally WILL NOT be buying a GM vehicle (actually, any American made vehicle) aside from maybe the Z06 or GTO. Absolute shit. I'm gonna have to have a whole lot of friends buy GM's and have them LAST before I even get close.
This video is an embarrassment. Any company will have a few defective models like that, but he should've had a brand new one in his driveway long before this.

When I worked at a GM dealer it was when the chev malibu came out.... Well I spent my days helping replace pistons in brand new motors. That and valve trains (rollers, etc). Yeah they suck.
Longest lasting cars ive ever owned were fords. Crown vic and an f150. Crown vic has like 270k on it and the person we sold it to is still driving it.

Crown Vic's are well built because it's fords one money maker since it's a police pack vehicle, my dad had an early 90's one for a while they hold up, but I'm not much on ford, The newer Camaros are fairly good and the vettes seem to last, I would hope so considering they are 56k or more new. I'll stick to Toyota, Nissan, BMW, and a few others. The engine is good but I think the electronics used in the caddy or something is fucked as usually an LS1 or LS2 can last a long time if well maintained, he stated his rear end was replaced etc before so I think that car is just messed up.
that guy is prolly going to get assassinated by someone in gm/ get streetfire get shut down imho. cause that personally just made me never ever want to touch a car by them again, lol there was like over 34,000 viewers for that video and out of those 34 i know allot of people made the same decision i did.

This engine so far in the vid is eating itself haha, I had something similar start to happen with the POS Corsica, but after it died, on the side of the road, it was spewing smoke, and leaking coolant/oil mixture everywhere.... I feel his pain, and this is a brand new car.... ouch
