I won't go into how I figured this out, but a few nights ago I put our desktop computer in the shower(unplugged of course) for a good 5 mins due to "overuse" at innoproperate times. It was later recovered and set on the table just dripping wet. The next day, I was like shit... now how am I going to check my email at home??

So i take it alllll apart. Even the CPU off the motherboard and start drying it all out with a hairdryer. It took a good 30mins to get all traces of water out. Mind you, now its really clean, no more dust lol...

So after drying it allllll out, putting it back together (emachines desktop), it fired up and works perfectly. It actually is kinda faster during normal everyday operation!

lol

lol haha lol ... youre a fucking idiot.

you wont always be able to make sure its completely dry unless you let it sit for several days.

did you soak the harddrive(s) as well? what about the power supply?

not to mention that many parts can rust... the only time it would be excusable to do something like that is if you spilled soda or some other syrupy substance on there.

you put your computer in the shower because you wanted to keep someone from using it. wow.

Next time, get a case lock, create a BIOS System password and only let the other inconsiderate person have access when it is convenient for you. Any time it's not good for you, turn it off and they won't be able to use it.
