Good to hear this is taking a turn for the better man, best of luck to you guys with all this headache. Also, someone mentioned that they got more for their Corolla than what it cost him, I have a similar experience with my Cavalier years ago. Paid like $1800 for the car, drove the ever-loving-shit out of it, and got something like $2200 or 2300 for it.

my girl's rust bucket corolla (ae92 coupe) got slammed into while parked, we got $2500 out of it (which went towards the purchase of the blue supra), and she only paid $800 for it 5 years ago...

It also didn't have a salvaged title, so we got to sell it for $600, so we made a total of $3100..! Damn thing was on it's last legs too, with nearly 300k on the clock..

It's just a joke amigo. Your girl didn't get hurt, that's all that matters. If she did, I wouldn't of joked. This is the internet, it's made for funnies.

Can't believe this hasn't been said yet:

Maybe their Kitchen backs onto the Freeway?? :D

Seriously guys lighten up a bit it was a joke!
(I took it as such and LMAO)

As to the OP, I agree with GrimJack 100%, a couple of my buds have been in this situation here Lawered up and gotten their $$$ in record time, seems Insurance companies will roll over soon as the "L" word is involved whereas if it's just youNme they'll fuck you around for years till you either give up or take cents in the dollar..

Sorry for the harsh response, it's been a stressful subject. I knew it was a joke, just not the right time for me, lol.

Just caught me at the wrong time in a stressful situation. No hard feelings here. ;)

Regarding legal action, we've got Geico fighting the battle now. They've stepped up fast. Car's getting totaled for just shy of 7 grand. They figured minimum of $5000+ in damages and gave her the option to have it fixed or totaled out. She's opted for totaling and we'll be car shopping tomorrow/saturday. :)

As far as fees go, right now she's only out the rental car and deductible so nearly ~$750. Still sucks, but it's an acceptable outcome for now. Hopefully Geico will reimburse the deductible once USAA pulls their head out of their ass and realizes the MIA client who hit 2 other people and crossed a median *might* just be responsible... One can only hope.

The only road she should be driving on is from the kitchen to the living room and bedroom where she serves sammiches while naked.

Oh riding up your happy trail (or happy highway for those Sasquatch amongst us).

Update: We got this all sorted with 3 days of Gieco taking over. She's still waiting for USAA for own up to their share, but she found a new car (1 year newer, better trim level) of the old one.

Gieco paid 7 grand for her old car! That went a long ways towards the newer, slightly nicer car.

All in all she's happy, but still hoping for USAA to pick up about ~$750 for the rental and deductible...
