Traveled back in time to wake the dead. Since last post car was painted black like it originally was. Blew two head gaskets, Installed F1 6 puck clutch and didn't adjust a damned thing. Also installed a light weight flywheel. Hooked up a sound system. Realized I had no form of venting boost. SSQV was stolen. Installed Bosch bypass valve. Flex pipe on stock exhaust broke bought downpipe from DM. Next bought a downpipe back exhaust also from DM. Drove car till rod knock in march. Cars been sitting since then. I have begun to collect parts. Bought a Lexus AFM $50, 7MGTE complete long block '92 $600, Holset HY35 $130. Next is ARP's, TOYOTA Factory Headgasket, 550's, AFPR, and other stuff. I'll post pics soon. I'm trying to find the best deals possible to build my SUPRA within a budget. This isn't gonna be a "wine and cheese" thread. Fuck that noise I'm about the "meat and potatos" (no homo). I'll post some pics soon.

And here's the 7M, fairly clean looking no major leaks. Turbo is in excellent condition. Well taken care of.

I demand an up to date pic of the car lol, im glad your sticking with it. keep us posted.

I'm glad also, no real sense in quitting only to come back. I'll post oics later tonight. I forgot to add the story of my SHINE lip. Bought myself a lip. Installed it at the shop I was working at in those days, finished install, parked the car on the street and cracked the M Effer. I was so mad at myself.

Update on the gauges, as you can tell from the previous pictures they were a little worked. Sanded the trim rings and resprayed them low gloss black. As far as the EVEC IV goes it needs the knob cover but ehh. Here's the updated gauge pictures. Also If you guys have any leads on one, I'm looking for the boost gauge that completes this set.

Okay so here is my current build status, Cleaned up the gauges a bit resprayed them. They are 60mm, gonna install into the cluster ala Scruggs, they stick out past the clear cluster cover so I have to get creative. I ended up finding the matching boost gauge I was looking for on ebay of all places , so the march goes forward. hopefully it turns out well....................

Bought a T4 tubular manifold from a member here. It's ceramic coated and has a flange for a Tial V44 which I'm in the market for.

attachment.php

Also collected some more parts. HY35/HX35 blank outlet flange (in front of the turbo) with a 3" hole for the custom downpipe. Got a v-band flange kit (on the right side) for the downpipe and also got a T4 to T3 adapter (on top of the turbo) to mount on my tubular manifold.

On the turbo adapter I noticed that the welds suck. Look at this picture. On the T3 side there was zero penetration.

I got some better picture of the turbo manifold. I like hoe the TIAL flange is welded onto the manifold which you can see in the second picture. The old HKS flange is still there which I can use the bolt holes to make some kind of bracing it. I hope to hand off my replacement engine to Jose at Kaizen for a rebuild soon.

The past couple of months have really sucked at work, the shop is slow. Not enough Supra (or 510) moneys going around. But I have some light shining at the end of my tunnel. My service manager is willing to give me an opportunity to get out of the shop and become a service writer. What that would mean for me is, having all my tools at home and not being burned out from working on cars at work. Additionally this would mean a higher amount of income for me and more opportunity to spend on my cars and debt ( not in that order of course). So for the time being, here is my next list of parts (mostly for personal reference) to get. In no particular order.

Thermostatic oil cooling system:

Update: Got myself some RC 550CC injectors in the mail yesterday. They have a injector test sheet from 1999, so I should probably send them out to make sure they are operating properly. Part number is :pL8M-550 they are low impedance injectors. I just need to get injector clips from DM soon. Here is a picture

I never really fully understood the whole oiling system ordeal when aftermarket parts come into play. If you don't mind explaining, what's the purpose of this thing? FLUID CNTRL THERM KIT; http://www.summitracing.com/parts/DER-25719/

That's the thermostat. Similar to the cooling system, when the oil reaches the temperature determined by the thermostat it opens and allows oil to travel to the oil cooler. And the cycle continues.
