Ghetto Injector cleaning hypothesis

Got my fuel injectors out of my 186,000 mile cressida 7mge, they are rusty as hell. I got small plastic cup and put em all in(with only the ends touching the bottom), and sprayed em with brake cleaner, i filled the cup about an inch up from the bottom of the injector and lettin it sit over night, also probly gona brush them up with drill and brush if all the rust isnt off. Well see what happens! :aigo:

but rust is sooo ugly even though u cant see em lol

Tape up the top and bottom to protect them and wire brush the rust off.

I have done this myself with absolutely great success. Probably the best way that I know of to DIY injector clean.

Only thing better would be to have them professionally cleaned and flow tested.

But in a pinch the above works really well. And costs next to nothing to do.

Considering that if an injector goes bad (especially under increased boost) and leans a cylinder out, it has the same effect as taking a plasma torch to the piston top. Go for it
