I just bought an 87 MKIII with a 1jz-gte. The guy before me put the engine in the car but the wiring for the old motor is still there. The new motor has 90% of all engine wiring done but there are a few loose plugs here and there. My biggest problem right now is how to get the new wiring harness wired into the interior wiring. No plugs match and wire colors dont match perfectly. Where do I start?! Oh i also forgot to mention i have a very limited budget so any info on do it yourself stuff would be great. One more thing, what is the difference between the different styles of 1jz motors. I have heard of type 1 and type 2 motors and a soarer 1jz. How do I know what mine is?
