Ok, I need to get a set of springs and struts. I want to spend about $500 at the most. This is my daily driver and have to drive about 35 miles a day, So I want something that will be a good set with still having better handling then stock. I do go to the strip once a month, so If I get a suspension I would rather it help me out on the strip than the road race tracks. I don't road race my car. I don't want to lower it very much because I'm getting some wheels and tires just for the strip. I was looking at the Tanabe springs because they only lower the car about an inch in the back. Any suggestions.

Thanks

+1 ^^

either that or go bilstein and lower the car with the adjustable perches...

$500 isn't going to get you much suspension wise...

I just want to replace my springs and struts, I have a set of sway bars ready to go in aswell. I drive my car on the steet and at the drag strip and that's about it. I think I'll check into the system that Brent has.

you can get the struts you +1ed and a set of springs (b&h i think?) from 935 for less than $500

I'm riding on tokico blues and eibach pro kits. for a DD, they are good. but i feel they aren't stiff enough. if anything, for a shock and spring combo, i would definately look to bilsteins and whichever spring you see fit for your setup.

Anybody have experience with the Tanabe springs or the RSR springs? I was looking at these and they look like they don't have as big of a drop, remember I like to drag race but don't want to be 4x4ing it either. I like the look of the Eibachs, but it is my daily and some people scrape.

eibach is a perfect daily spring. Remember people drive H&R daily and those are way lower.

I really think you will be happy with Eibach, I ran them for about a year with no issues. As with any lowering spring on a car with a long overhang you need to go a little sideways into steep driveways. Once you get used to it though it's not bad.

It also depends on what downpipe your running. IIRC the HKS one hangs lower then others and scrapes. I think the BIC one hugs tight and scraming isnt as much of an issue.

I have tanabe springs matched to kyb gr-2 shocks and i love them there a little stiff for the mostly country roads i drive everyday but on your average quality road they are nice.
They give a nice looking drop as and you wouldn't beleave how much they cut down on body roll comapired to stock if i can find my camrea i'll take some pics and post them up so you can see how they look.

I've had tokico blues with stock springs, they handled great, until all 4 blew out in 5000 miles. Sure they have a lifetime warranty, but what do you do while you're waiting for tokico to decide to replace them?

I've had tokico illumina 2's with eibach springs, by far the best combo i've had. The were comfortable, they lasted a long time, and probably are still out there on that car.

Now I have kyb gr-2's with intrax springs. The intrax really lower your car alot. The gr-2's are alright, but the illumina 2's were better. Handling is ok on these, not great.

Eibachs are the most conservative drop I've seen on lowering springs...

But, like I mentioned, you can lower the car on stock springs with the Bilstein shocks...

Poodles,

You should swing by the office and see my car and let me know what you think, I need to upgrade a couple of things.

Mad,

Thanks for the Pics, that is the kindof drop I was looking for.
