Nobody should give you shit for getting a w58 with a stock turbo set-up. It takes more than a stock GTE to come close to blowing up a w58 and they drive at least as well if not substantially better than the truck/tank transmission R154.

That being said, you can use the w58 from a cressy, but the clutch set-ups are different, you'll need a new driveshaft if you had one for an auto, i'm not sure if clutch lines will be routed the same as well as other smaller items...

it will fit...you need an n/a flywheel, n/a slave cylinder, turbo or n/a master, braided stainless clutch line from driftmotion.com (unless you plan on getting the stock hardline), manual trans clutch pedal assembly from a supra, n/a clutch, now im not too sure if the w58 trans tail housing from a cressida is the same or not but im pretty sure it is so you may need a transmount...

too be perfectly honest...you are downgrading if you go with a w58 if youre sporting a a340 from a turbo.....keep what you have and fuck the w58.
