ge-gte cranks different

I have a question: cranks on 7m-ge and on 7m-gte identical or different?

The long blocks are nearly identical. The GTE has lower compression pistons and a slightly different intake cam. The GTE has piston squirters for the non forged pistons.

have a quick ?, I've read bout some people remove the squrters, why is that? is it to do with aftermarket pistons or what??
