so far 5 members in this Gb. This is looking good. Gixxer how many orders does your friend want for the GB. Maybe a minimum of five is good for him. Also can you find out if he can get suedeskinz inserts, and at what cost. On the website they are about the same price as two tone inserts

Gixxer, we are depending on you to make this happen. Keep us up to speed with this. This is very important to alot of us.

Its important to me to....

Here is the only update I have. His grandpa had a stroke, and is in the hostipal, so I haven't really been able to talk with him lately. On top of that its christmas season.... We will know something for sure after christmas, and get the ball rolling on this...

I just ordered my new black carpet 1 min. ago, and all I need now is a new set of custom leather covers. Sound deadening is 2/3 finished and I'll have the interior pieces back from being dyed in a week or so.

no update yet, but I am going to make this happen. I won't let it die.

Where did you take your interior parts to get them died?

I took it to a body shop. My neighbour owns one here called "Show Time Customs". I didn't want to spray bomb it because it is about -8 outside and there is a special process that needs to be done in order for it to adhere properly. SEM had good stuff but stinks like shit. If the parts aren't degreased, cleaned, prep'd, and painted properly it will not last and will begin to chip off. I decided to do it right the first time and get it done professionally. They even have a special type of paint that needs to be mixed, so it's not just any type of exterior paint.

This is promising... sort of. I will be in, but people need to buy stuff out of this parts car so i can make some money first. whats the possibility of a 2nd run/order/GB after this one matures? I assume it would be possible since this friend already has his Tax ID number and Account/dealer status WITH Katzkin, and its merely a matter of placing another order of 10+ units, right?

SO, with that said,

whats the possibility of having these covers done WITHOUT the Holes for the Seat belt guides on the head rest? this is a Defining characteristic of the Pre-89 seats. the Other characteristic of Pre-89 seats are the Seat bottoms; Pre-89 seats have 3 raised ridges under the ass. This means that there could be at least 3 Flaps that require Bullringing to the Seat foam core. I do not beleive the 89+ seats have these same ridges, which changes the seat cover installation process and production. Please see attached pics for differences in Pre-89 and Post-89 seat design.

I would be interested in Medium gray seats with Slate/Shadow gray center panels, Marked with X's. Please see the Post-89 and Rear seat Pics for reference.

Let me know if this is possible and what the total cost would end up being, shipped.

Ok guys, some information for you.

Group buys can be approved by Interex or shaeff. It doesn't take a whole lot to get approved, we want to make sure we have some information on hand about the member running the buy is all, plus it allows us to avoid the scammers who sign up for an account and start a group buy as their first post.

When the group buy is approved, we would normally post a link to the thread in the group buy section at the end of this thread and lock this thread.

Let me know if you need any more information about setting this up from the forum's point of view.

PS: I'm a lot happier with someone who takes a while to work out all the details beforehand than I am with someone running a group buy that takes forever to deliver after I've paid, so cut him a little slack here, ok? :)

Gixxer, I'm apologize f it seems like I'm rushing you on this. That is not how it is and I understand that both you and your friend are very busy. I just like to stay updated because I need to order my leather by the end of this month to maintain my time frame for my project. Do you think this GB will happen by the end of the month?
