I've done so much to this car, it's pretty much my love child, lol. I bought the car with 252k miles on it, bad paint, crappy interior, paint player that was hanging out. The old motor developed rod knock at around 253-254k miles. My dad and I put in a JDM motor with about 45k miles on it, also put a new clutch in as well. The car got a new paint job shortly after the TX 2k6 nationals. The car also got new brake pads all around and new front rotors. The car has also had the brake booster replaced, as well as the steering rack. Here is the maintenance/mod list:
- JDM 7M-GE, now with 53-54k miles
- New paint job, Toyota color code #176
- Black sawblades
- 20% tint
- Eibach lowering springs
- KYB shocks
- Copper 245/50R 16 tires, almost 80% tread left on ALL tires, one is a Yokohama
- New OEM clutch
- New front OEM brake rotors
- New brake pads
- New shift knob
- New shift boot
- New emergency brake boot
- New steering rack
- New brake booster
- New exhaust piping
- New cat
- New TPS
- New radiator cap
- NGK spark plug wires
- NGK copper spark plugs
- SOGI shift mod
- Green truck bushing
- Flo-pro muffler
- Kenwood KDC-MP228 headunit
- Infinity 4" Reference speakers (2) in the front
- Polk DX4 Coaxial 4" speakers (2) in the rear
The only issues that the car has is the famous "carrier-bearing issue", and it also needs new front lower ball joints. The car just recently had an oil change with 10W-30 synthetic motor oil. The transmission and differential fluid was recently changed as well. I'm probably forgetting some stuff on the list, but that's all I can think of at the moment. The car runs great, the motor runs strong, just needs those issues above fixed to be an awesome, solid car. I don't know if I can post a price, but I'd like a ballpark of the $3k range (you guys on the forums know it's worth that from all the work that's been put into this car). I'm located in the DFW area of Texas.
