Make sure to test fit it on a car that has the stock foglights still mounted on the bumper support. I have yet to see a Greddy-style bumper that allows you to retain your stock foglights.

You can come along with us, Mike. We're going to be leaving West Covina @ about 12. I'll call you up in the morning. It will be test fitted on Justin's(PROJECT N00B) 87.

i still need to get the center grille molded together. it's currently being held together by two zip ties, anyway.

OK guys, sorry for not posting pics yesterday, as I was out til about 1AM running errands. I just got finished with today's errands and the pictures are STILL being uploaded as we speak. but here are a few:

(don't mind Justin's header panel, the Left (driver side) is a little messed up so the fitment will APPEAR off, but it's straight.

It'll look a little bit wierd because Justin's car is a Pre-89 and the original has the 89+ nose piece.

Better Pictures of JUST the bumper:

Most likely, how this interest thread is going, the bumper will be made as an 89+ Style with an option of having the Nose Piece cut off for the Pre 89 Style. But having the nose piece cut off will probably be just a little bit extra since the bumper has to be made, then after, the nost piece has to be cut off. I'll cut off this thread on Sunday, November 23rd and if there is enough interest, ask a moderator if we can get this thing going as a Group Buy.

I agree, but we were just messing around, we HAD to do it. LoL. But it'll look good on your girl's Blue Supra :naughty:

heelll nooo, PRE 89 Modified gracer all the way

The black one in the first pic i would buy in a heartbeat.

We'll see what happens. There is a lot of mixed interest between the two. The 89+ guys like the Type 2. The pre-89 guys like the Modified. We'll find a solution, I have a couple ideas that just might get everyone what they want :naughty:

All right, I would like to get a vague head count of who would be interested in getting this group by rolling. This can go one of two ways, we can either get the Type 2 Gracer going with an option for a pre-89 style for a little bit extra. Or if there is enough people wanting the Modified Gracer, we can get BOTH going. It's all up to you guys. I'll start up a List of who would pick what up if this were to go down and edit it in my first post.

So if you can, post up what you would be getting if this were to go into a Group Buy. Just state either Modified Gracer or Gracer Type 2 (will have a pre-89 option).

I really want the upper grill open (pre-89 type) and the contours of the Gracer T-2 don't really fit with that part cut out IMO. I have money in hand for as soon as this gets underway and I will keep it set aside unless you change your mind about the GB.

Also, I'm curious what the height of the Modified Gracer is. I measured for the T-2 but I think that would make my car no longer a DD...

EDIT: That's what I would prefer to buy. I will most likely get anything that you end up making.

I want this Group Buy to go on as hoped, but it's all up to the members on the board. I'll take a measurement on the Modified Gracer tomorrow morning.

If anybody who posted doesn't chime in, I'll send them a pm.

Myself, I like the black bumper in the first pic the best. Pre '89 with the smaller opening for the fog lights, would be just right for my car. The bigger openings of the post '89 bumper with the nose cutout for pre '89 would seem like there's too many or too large of openings; and would just be too much for an otherwise stock look, IMHO.
