I've been doing this to my car to add a nice touch in certain areas. The parts I've been working on has been: Inner door pulls, ext. B-pillars, radio surround, lock, gauge, and switch bezels, seat backs, license plate surround on 89+ tails, and RV mirror. I've just been overlaying C/F cloth with a resin, then sanded, wet sanded, then cleared. I'll have pics of the first few parts soon.

If anyone would be interested (after you see the quality of work) for me to do this to any of your interior pieces. Send me your pieces and I'll do it for you, or you can try to do it yourself after reading the HOW-TO im going to post. I charge only for my cost of parts, which is cheap BTW. I can buy 5'x5' for $80CAD. Then the cost of clear and average $30 labor charge (depending on the six and quantity of the pieces)

Dan

YES! A guy I know bought some CF overlays for the outside of his M3. b-pillars, door frames, so forth. I was very jealous that nobody made them for us, because they're so damn good looking.

Do this, and I will buy one! (or two) lol

It's an overlay of the existing parts, not a overlay with 3M adhesive. These will be more durable since the are held to you parts by a resin. and clear coated

you mind sharing your souce for the cf sheets, and what kind of resin you use? A list of materials, suppliers, prices, and tools required would be sweet, also on 1-10 scale where would u rate difficulty at? Don't wanna keep you from making money off this, but its a great idea I'd like to use for my car, I'd buy from you, except I prefer to do whatever customization I can on my own, more pride in it that way, plus im broke as hell. If ya don't wanna post all your sources and stuff here, could u possibly PM or e-mail them to me? I promise I can keep a secret :1zhelp:
