got the outer part trimmed tonight wit hthe jigsaw. though ned to touch up part of it with the dremel before i take a pic. still makin progress though. lol

ok, touched up the plate wit he dremel. heres pics. im going to write the thread fo rthe group buy in a few and post the link here as well. heres the pics of what it will look like. itll just be 3/8ths thick.

ive got mine alreayd and im using a t56. but you can use a t5 if you like. once this group buy is done i likely wont get any more unless there is enough interest for another group buy later.

Aaah ok.

The reason i asked about the T5 is that its easy to get hold of here, compared to all the other GM gearboxes - they were used on the Sierra RS Cosworths (2wd) and can be picked up pretty cheap...mind if i post this thread up on the UK Mk3 site?

FYI for anyone that reads this thread.

82-92 (well, really it was like 85-92, but whatever) Fbody T5 is tilted 17 degrees, so this won't work.

Any other T5 should be fine (from Ford, for example)

bump. group buy ends this month. i ordered another test piece trimmed to the outer diameter of the trans. ill post pics when it comes in so you can see exactly how the units will be shaped.
