How many of you are running on a Toyota HG with ARP bolts or studs torqued down "correctly"? For how long/miles? What kind of mods if any? So far so good?
I'm in the process of resurrecting a gay blue GTE and have very limited funds. I only plan on upgrading the exhaust and using an N/A head since my gte head and cams are shot. Stock CT 26. I will use ARP bolts. These are drivers cars and that's what want to do with it, cruise and not race.
I read a lot of build threads and see one bhg after another even after fresh overhauls. Is it possible the gaskets are getting "squished" by too much torque? I don't want to end up like a lot of people here who've had to tear down their engine again after only a few miles due to bhg.
Anyway, would like to know how other similar set ups are doing and advice from those who have it.
