Hey all, rebuilding my GE and I've read in Adjuster's 7M assembly tips thread to use Permatex's 'The Right Stuff' gasket maker http://permatex.com/products/Automo...uto_Permatex_the_Right_Stuff_Gasket_Maker.htm . I went out and bought a can ($14 for a 4 oz can) but also have some Permatex Ultra Black that I used a little while ago. If I remember right, it was around $9 for a 10 oz can http://permatex.com/products/Automo..._Oil_Resistance_RTV_Silicone_Gasket_Maker.htm .
I've also got a tube of FIPG in the mail, but which is better, the 'right stuff' or the black rtv (max oil resistance it says)?
