Well i just finished putting the engine back together and when i start the car the car the engine goes to 4000 rpm for 3 seconds then calms down and stays at 1000 rpm for 3 seconds.

then repeats by going up to 4000 rpm again for 3 seconds it keeps on doing this over and over . 4 1 4 1 4 1 all in 3 second intervals

i think its the tps i might have installed it wrong?

one more thing the gas pedal is stuck all the way down and wont move .

what do you think i installed wrong??

sometimes I dont know why I bother...

In regards to the idle speeds, start at the throttle body. Is the throttle closing all the way to the stop screw? If so your problem is electrical (TPS, ISCV etc). If its not closing all the way then check the crossover linkage and then the cable. Make sure there is slack. Since your pedal is not returning to its normal position Im guessing you either installed the cable into the crossover linkage wrong, or as ^^ said you might have kinked the cable.

Again, all basic auto shop 101.

Well first off your assumption that IJ was talking about you specifically was premature... although... well, nevermind.

You've sure got a big head don't ya?

If you had set the TPS properly per the TSRM I really don't see how this could have happened in the first place. The TPS needs to be able to return to full stop when the throttle is released. I have yet to see one that will go back to full stop with just the spring built in the TPS... So, bearing that in mind, have you tested and aligned the TPS now that you've found it's placement was the issue?

i dont see how bragging about your clean engine bay and getting tires is helping you in this thread :sarcasm:

Yes, Im still trying to imagine how an improperly installed TPS would put your pedal on the floor. Im not standing right there looking at it however. Pride of ownership is great and being able to do the work yourself if good too, but when you do something wrong and need to ask for help its best to show a little humility and not take it personal when you get scolded.

I literally lol'd at your comments to IJ as its obvious you have no idea how dumb that makes you look. Let me offer you just the tiniest piece of advice:

show a little more respect for not only the supra veterans but the mods around here or you will find your stay very short and unpleasant. If you follow a few simple rules (FOR GODS SAKE PLEASE READ THIS) you will enjoy it here alot more and will get more out of it. This benifits everyone so try not to be so selfish and make an attempt to fit in.

This is by far the best Supra specific site on the net because it is well controlled, informative and a fantastic community unlike you will find on 95% of the internet forums.

Well it wasn't quite "perfect" now was it?

My "comment" to Weez was just stating the obvious that I think you're an imbecile after attempting to help you in PM's a few times only to have you discount what I was telling you with "I have 40 friends here that know all that"

Fine toddle off and ask your 40 friends you won't get any help from me and with this sort of attitude not many others will bother.
