Hey, if you can't beat em, join em

Yes, the access panel for the power antenna (though it sucks for accessing the antenna anyway) and I don't think there's any change between RHD/LHD on that part other than the cable is probably longer on the LHD.

Sounds like the Lever/cable layout is a little different RHD/LHD, almost certain I didn't have this sort of trouble getting mine to open, have you tried pulling on the outer cable a bit at the same time as pulling the lever with a Helper pushing the Door?

I can't see any cables at all.

Editorial- Where exactly does it run from the lever to the pin? Does it go back behind the driver seat, then turn to the passenger side?

I come from a land down under
Just looked at the EPC the Lever looks like a mirror image of ours, as Poo said the cable has to be heaps longer though so you should be able to pick it up somewhere under the seat and hold some tension on it.

I tried to reach from the antennae door, how the fuck do you do it Poodles? I've felt around that entire area and have found nothing but wall.

This happens to me about 3-4 times per winter. I have a dremel, I have a garage, I don't know WHY I haven't done it yet.

Greek, do you see part # 64680 in the picture there? Right by the license plate area? I believe that might be a point of interest too... is that the cable you need to pull on?

Ok, so I got gas today.

The cable is NOT what I expected. I was searching for a physical cable through the antennae access and couldn't find anything. So finally I get MK3_TJ to come down and help me out. He feels around while I work the lever to see if we can feel movement. Turns out, lifting the cable somehow pushes in a part, that retracts the pin. It confused the fuck out of me. But I ended up just taking out the spring and retainer that the pin goes into. A small magnet is holding the door shut. I'll keep it that way until I shorten the pin.
