Jay (suprahero) has a GT35R w/ a .82 (t3) A/r on his and made 543whp

I would consider a 1.01 a/r or a .68 T4 housing though for extra top end flow (and hp)

Jay loves his GT35 but I know he hated his ebay manifolds. Jay burned through his first ebay manifold and ended up going drewgo with his latest build. Jay was telling me the difference in quality is unreal.

Then you must go with the GT35 Turbo bacause thats a T3 flange

I thinks the GT35 is a Nice street Turbo for the 1JZ engine

There's NO DIFFERENCE between a T4 flanged GT3540r and a T3 flanged one other than the Flange, the Wheel and nozzle are the same and that's what set's flow.

This is a common misconception Tiss ;)

put a 2" exhaust on and see what happens.. Cut the size cut the flow= cut the power

larger a/rs allow it to breath easier..

I'm talking about a T4 .8ar and a T3 .8ar GT3540r housing

they both flow the same as the "Nozzle" size is the same and it's the restriction NOT the flange.

"It will only flow as much as the point of greatest restriction"

The only reason for the 2 housings is so you can bolt it to a T4 header without an adaptor.

oh, I've always though T3s were smaller then t4s given the same a/r ratios.. looking back at my post a 1.01 t3 and a .68 t4 is a bit drastic, i should of said .84 T4 or wahtever it is.. But if they're the same then never mind. Never looked into it that much

interesting.. I guess I never read up on it.. I just assumed the T3 Turbine housings are smaller in physical size so the radius would be much smaller, then the ratio would be different per the size of the turbine. But never compared two of the same turbine wheels I Guess, always T3 wheels vs a P trim Turbine.. good to know then.. I'll recomend my bro a .63 t3 then for his 1jz 240

Just a few weeks ago I had a T3 gt35 in the 1j 240sx and it pulled nicely up top. However I find it that an automatic JZ will benefit from a .63 T3 gt53 better than a 5sp. Recently I changed it to a T4 .68 and the difference is night and day. A little more lag, but hold on to your nutz cuz itz a wild one.
