what would be like a t78 1jz:
how much whp will be possible
which rpm for max boost
it will have a lot of lag
is it a old turbo outdated
have it big difference in power and lag with a garrett gt3076r
i wonder if greddy do not have adapted their turbo for japanese high rev engine comparatively to garrett

it for futur project
i already have a 3076 on my 1jz and it very fun cause he have no lag and 440whp ,but the power curve look like the stock twin , i don't have aggressive power gain below 4500rpm ,like the the japanese high rev engine would be have

any body know if change from 3076 to t78 could be different

t78 is worlds apart from the 3076.

The T78 will make 750whp, and come on ~ 5k rpms and It is an older design. Compared to the 3076 it will have a lot of lag.

Yea, full boost will probably be ~ 5k rpms (18 psi). Streetable is a relative term, whats streetable to me maybe not be the same as your tolerance level. Remember also the 2jz has a different displacement then the 1jz, and that aids in spooling the turbo.

like tissimo said, T78 is gonna be capable of a lot of power, but on a 1JZ itll be a lag monster.

my 1.5jz is just getting into boost around 4100 on a T88-34D and thats with the extra .5L of displacement

streetability is different between each person, just depends on how you like to drive
