Garret GT45R

Hey guys,
I'm from South Africa & I am currently in the process of swapping an Aristo 2JZGTE into my Mk2. I had planned on leaving it stock for a bit, but I have been offered a Garret GT45R for cheap. The problem is it has apparently come off a truck & as far as I know it won't work directly. The actual technecalities behind why elude me. Possibly too big a turbine......????

This turbo had been fitted to a 13b rotary & the motor blew its seals twice, but this may not be related to the turbo. So what do I do, take it & possibly modify, or give it a pass.

BTW, the asking price is around $US 360.

For the price of that, Id go for it. Thats if it is a REAL garrett gt45r. you can always take off the backing plate and replace any garrett wheel with the housing, same with the scroll, get any .ar divided or undivided...

I would def measure the inducer and exducer of the wheel to be sure it is a gt45r before buying it.

The guy assures me that its a genuine GT45R, & the reason for the price is because it has been sitting on his shelf for the past 3 years. He paid more than double for it. I will, however, be getting my mechanic to look at it over the weekend, & he knows hi stuff (drifts Mk4's competatively). Problem has been his lack of availability due to an event he is hosting tomorrow. So by Sunday, I will know.
