Anyone G-Tec there Supra for a 0-60? I am curious with different mods and turbos what your runnin for 0-60 times, what RPM you launch at exc. With my setup I found that dumping the clutch at exactly 3,500 will just chirp the tires and then the turbo spools in at 3,800 so I use that. One other thing before I get all the bashers, the G-Tec is accurate within 1/1000 of a second and is even often used by car and driver and a few others so you can trust what it says.

Post your best 0-60 pictures :naughty:

thats kinda offtopic but it costs around $250 depending on normal or PRO, The biggest thing ppl use them for is 0-60 but they can also do quartermile time, quartermile speed, 60-0 braking, cornering g force and a few other neat things. They use advanced GPS, they can detect exactly when your car takes off for a 0-60 from a stop, they can even compensate for less then perfectly flat roads in the 0-60 and quartermile readings and it can tell your exact speed. They can also figure HP within + or - 1% accuracy dont ask me how... I know car and driver use it alot for 0-60 runs

CHECK OUT THIS TEST VIDEO!!!!!! MATCHED THE TRACK TIMESLIP EXACTLY http://www.gtechpro.com/test.html

you can get the old version for like 20.. i got mine for 20 shipped off ebay.. works great the only thing is to keep it as level as you can.. seem to be pretty accurate but dont go around telling people yea i ran a 12second quartermile with it.. the only thing it would be good for is a pre mod time and after mod time.. that will show you exactly how faster you are.

I don't know about the first model, but the Competition, SS and RR - it doesn't matter how you mount it. Angled up, down, turned sideways one way or the other, forward or backwards. Once you do the Calibration step it knows which way is which: Triaxial accelerometer covering all three axes (x,y and z)

As for the data it produces; You can not go comparing its dyno, hp&torque, to that of a dyno. You can compare it to the numbers from another GTech and probably other accelerometers. You have to compare apples to apples.

You can also confidently state your elapsed times, as PorterzSupra already stated "MATCHED THE TRACK TIMESLIP EXACTLY "

The older unit tells you when its level, you adjust it, and if its not it will display "tilt" and will not start untill its perfectly level, the old unit is within 1/1000 of a sec accurate, yes you can tell ppl, it is just as accurate as the track

its main purpose was 0-60 and 1/4 mile, for that its dead accurate im very surpirsed that no one will post a 0-60 time, dont be shy even if its 8.0 seconds I dont care I just wanna know with different mods how your runnin or even how your runnin stock, My 97 SVT Mustang Cobra with full basic mods, gears, exhaust EXC. could only do 5.4 0-60, (stock is 5.9). The WRX motor is junk the only reason its fast to 60 (around 5.4 seconds) is by means of traction and being able to drop the clutch out from a stop at high rpm. I have a few friends with them, the commercial does not mention if you drop the cluch out more then a few times your tranny will blow up lol. I know 4 ppl with blown trannys. My mustang would make it look like a matchbox toy after 60 and if my mustang had slicks it would take it of the line hard also. The great thing about our cars is we are dealing with a nice 3.0 6 cyl not some 1 or 2 liter 4 banger. We dont have to beat the fuck outta our motors to get 300+ hp. Bigger motors make more power at a lower RPM and will last much longer.

I used my friends g-tek in my Ford truck and it did 0-60 in 21sec and 1/4 mile in 21 sec at 60mph :biglaugh: 76ft/lbs ftw!

I used it in my Supra and I was able to pull 1.15g's on a normal street corner!
