Jordan, in this car game, you need to look out for yourself and letting this guy get over is doing yourself bad.

I believe I speak for everyone in this thread, who hasn't said it, man the F*** up and go get your money or at least for machining cost.

+1 Jordan your a nice guy but something like this you shouldn't just roll over, "turn the other cheek". He ripped you off, and he more than likely knew about it, unless he's a complete idiot!

Well, if "Emmy" was any kind of a person, selling someone an engine with SAND in it would upset me. I'd go ask if he's willing to try and make up for some of the added costs.

Have you torn the block down yet? How do all the journals look? With the sand all over it like that, make sure you hot tank that block as to clean all the oil passages really well.

Definitely not.

It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to go in there and reuse rings and bearings. If you come across deal you MIGHT get it done but the things you need to get in the second list, should be in your first list.

Its going to come down to how much you get charged for machine work. Are you getting (a):

Intercooler Piping
Fan Clutch Setup
Timing Belt
Timing Belt Idler Pulley
Hydraulic Tensioner
Toyota FIPG

Please tell me you are getting a new oil pump....

Have intercooler but need pipes.
Have fipg
Have radiator and 16inch electric fan
Have timing belt

I was going to go and take the motor in and tell him that I just want it cleaned and decked and honed . But your right machine work is going to be deciding factor.

I need a vband downpipe
Soft oil lines for my turb

I will get a new oil pump

Was thinking of picking up light weight pully kit.

Ill look at the getting a new timing belt idler pulley and New tensioner.

Worst comes to worst ill be saving more money along the wya this is just what I have now

Do not think about a new timing belt components. Get them. That electric fan is not worth it. Save up for a fan clutch.

DO NOT BUY A LIGHTWEIGHT PULLEY KIT. That is all dress up, you have no use for that right now.

So after buying the ,

timing belt tensioner pulley
Hydraulic tensioner (serpentine belt tensioner)
Oil pump

That brings me to a total of $1680 spent and $1820 left

I'll keep adding as I remember. RockAuto for OEM stuff will be very helpful to you. DM has a lot of stuff but RockAuto has good deals on the OEM stuff.
