Well I have often been asked "if you could build a supra all over again what would you do differently?"

Well this thread is to explain and show what I would do differently.

Pictures will be posted next tuesday once I get my new purchase home, been too busy to go get it sooner, however I do have the title sitting here :evil2:

Car is an 88 turbo 5 speed hardtop black with grey interior 67k miles and bone stock.:icon_bigg:yikes::yikes: for now:naughty:

The tropical island....
Keep it driveable for a while enjoy it and build a killer swap on the side so it will be more kinda bolt on thing and dont get so supra-less IMO

For you Start where u left yours if you still want it go v8 and have fun :)

Best wishes in any of your decisions i know it will be a beast

Here we go again!! Good thing you were able to get some really important stuff off the old 87 shell. Just remember I get dibs on the lift!

The engine is getting pulled as soon as I get it here and checked over with a fine tooth comb and cleaned, then going back in with a FFIM Q45 TB, big intercooler, lexus afm and 720cc injectors, stock turbo.

It is going to be a very basic to me build, the idea is to drive the car this summer.

Clean 89+ mkIII turbo targa 5peed, TEMS, leather (fully loaded) shell. Simple; 550's, lexus, upgraded 57 trim, fuel pump, AFPR, piggy back. Call it good, or............no supra at all ;)

Rob, that will never happen. He still has the fuel system for the old black 87, good for 800 h/p, huge intercooler, plus all the knowledge he learned on the first one. Heck AEM's are not too expensive now days. I suspect by the end of the summer, he will have it hoped up pretty good. Next summer, watch out. He still has the skull and cross bones light cover. Going to be an interesting summer.

It really looks pretty decent Sean. It's a little banged up. Don't change anything but the down pipe and see how she runs. Wonder how long she stays stock? Any bets??

Adam, I looked pretty close. It really doesn't seem to have much rust, certainly not like many I have seen. Seems like Supra's attrack rust. Even mine needed some minor rust work and it has never seen snow or driven in the winter.
