They changed from year to year- iirc my 91 book says they should be in the 200's. I'll check when I get back home tonight and update this post with accurate info.

Edit: TIS had my 91 TSRM online :D

G1 pickup coil resistance:
G1 − G(−) 205 − 255
G2 pickup coil resistance:
G2 − G(−) 205 − 255
NE pickup coil resistance:
NE − G(−) 205 − 255
If the resistance is not within specification, replace the cam
position sensor.

According to the manual that I had the CPS was supposed to read between 140 and 180. One lead read 148 and the other two read in the 200's. That's why I was asking about them being bad because I know there is some inconsistencies in the manual. So I have an 88, do they need to have one with less resistance?

^ That. You said earlier there was a problem only when moving the wires or tapping on the connector. If the engine is making spark and injection the CPS is good. If you plug that new one in and spin it by hand with the key on that's exactly what should happen.
