I bought a set of 780cc Lucas injectors. They are too big to fit in the factory rail. Its just by a few mm, but I dont think that theres enough meat to machine it out. Im wondering if any body knows of a fuel rail thats bigger. Can i use a MKIV rail? maybe a A/M rail of the sort. Thanks.

I have a machined rail that fits 720s? You could try that? You pay for shipping and like 10 bucks? Ill mesure it for you if youd like?

Any aftermarket rail you find is going to be machined for the 7M size injectors.

Has anyone heard of or use Ross Machine Racing products? They have some really nice stuff. They sell -10,-8,-6 fuel rail blanks and bores for JZ motors. The JZ bore is for 14mm injectors. How far off are the two rails?

Personally I'd sell them and buy a set that fits the stock rail.

We have a winner....why reinvent the wheel.....Oh I know you got them for a good deal. Now the money you pay to make them fit makes them cost as much as the extra money you would have saved....if that is what you did.

Thats kinda what had happend. I was in the mood for a new rail anyway. The MK4 guys get all the drop in goodies. I want some nice free flow parts too so why not try to find or make them. It would have been nice to have them drop in so I could test the new stand alone. It will give me time to get the rest of the wiring and dash made.

People have made huge HP on the stock rail why reinvent the wheel?

Ive been looking around and have found a half a dozen rails. They want way too much for them. $300-500, thats just too much. The injectors that I want to use are High Impedance. Im useing them cause their easier to tune with. I know I dont have to use them and I know that the OEM rail is good to 550HP+. But if you have brand new injectors for a great price and you find a useable rail for a great price then why not. :naughty:
Not reinventing the wheel just trying to find a custom fit wheel.:icon_bigg

I havent measured out the stock rail, but if theres enough meat, drill it out with this.

14mm bit that they use to drill custom rails. Counterbores for the o-ring and radiuses the entry....

Where might I get one of those from? If your rail will fit the 14mm injectors that i have and everything is good on it I will take it. Thanks

I will check with Greg to see if he will ream a fuel rail out to 14mm...it will just depend if he has a 14mm reamer, I'll let you know

remember the diff between the LIPP fuel rail and ALL the others is ours is cast and designed for the the 7M, the rest are just gun drilled universals as far as I know

I just love it when I can ream something! You can order your Lipp Fuel Rail with most any size you need. If Jack will add it to the SupraSport.com site you will be all set to go.
Greg/Lipp
PS, Tell Jack what size you would like to have your hole reamed out to and that will be added to the site.
