Fuel Pump Identification

I was told when I bought the car it had a walbro in it, but it never made sound like my other walbro and when I pulled the tank it looked like a toyota pump. Can anyone let me know how to tell the difference between an mkiii and mkiv pump. When I get home I'll pull it back out and check the numbers on it.

when i was going to replace my stock pump with a walbro i bought a used walbro and it said walbro right on the pump. I would guess that all of the walbro pumps say the name on them.

There are fake walbro's made that imitate the originals with great detail as well.

I didn't know that I'll get it out of the tank later and post some pics, maybe you guys can help me figure this out.

I can tell you that a MK3 stock pump is fatter then the walbro. That will be easy. Telling if its a fake, will be a little harder.

I took it out tonight. It says denso 195130-0172 I took a picture with my phone too. It's all black and the number is on the top.

For a walbro. you need to splice the wire. If thereis no splice, than it is stock. Also, stock pump uses Blue and black wires, walbro I believe has black and red. Yours does look like the Stocker because a Wlabro is not that snug on the hanger.

Maybe we all missed the question asked. HIs question was "Can anyone let me know the difference between an MKIII pump and an MKIV pump".

Has anyone else bought a car and found they didn't have the parts in it that they were told when they bought it?..................OK, You can all put your hands down now.......and Jake...Stop crying.
