Alright I resently purchased a 1988 toyota supra 7mge. It hasnt ran for 2 years. We put a new starter, plugs wires, Intake manifold gaskets, New battey, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator and we have the fuel pump relay bypassed right now because its bad. The car will start and idle fine but as soon as you lay into the gay at all the car will instantly die. Does anyone have any idea on what it might be?

How did you determine the fuel pump relay is bad? Have you checked for error codes? Tested the AFM?

Hope it's a typo:)

I'm sure it is... if it wasn't he'd be bragging about how his MKIII was the lightest MKIII on it's feet and complaining about the flaming tailpipe. :evil2:

There are a few other valid considerations mentioned in this thread which you haven't acknowledged checking... So, if you would be so kind as to recap precisely what you have tested it'll make things a lot easier for us to help you.

Have you checked the timing per TSRM? Did you check the MAF per the TSRM? Sure you don't have any vac leaks, air leaks around the MAF or TB? If it sat for a while changed the fuel?Compression test?
If you post back and say "I think it"s OK, or it should be alright" there's going to be a few that will be done with this thread, me being one :)

wow since when did everyone on supra mania turn into an asshole... I'm not even gona bother its not my car anyways... By the way its common sense if the cars sat for 2 years to drain the tank and replace it and all the above has been done thought that was just a standard tune up...

Did you post that? Also common sense to check all the things I mentioned, you should have said what you've done and what you haven't. Not trying to be an asshole but if you don't give us something to go on we are just guessing like you are throwing parts at it.
