Fuel pressure question.....

My tuner is trying to tune my single turbo with AEM...
With boost target set at 15 psi and base fuel pressure set at 37-38 psi on the aeromotive FPR
When we reach max boost at 15-16 psi the fuel pressure goes only at 45 psi,and the A/F
gets leaner.

Tuner says it should be at 52-53 psi when hits max boost.
Do I have an issue/problem with the Aeromotive fuel presuire regulator?
Do all fuel pressure regulators work 1:1 ? For 1 bar boost pressure should be + 1 bar fuel pressure on the base
fuel pressure )

Any ideas...
Is it the FPR going bad or the fuel pumps ?

I come from a land down under
Check for a crimped hardline between the pump and the rail (blocked filter maybe)

If it's a genuine Aeromotive they're pretty good but the knockoff's have junk diaphrams.

"Should" be 1:1 + base.

It is a genuine Aeromotive FPR and got it new from titan. I used it on my 7M-GTE for 6-7 months.
I went 2jz and after 2.5 years (when I went single turbo) I put on the same Aeromotive FPR.....
Maybe that's why I am having issues with it....Who knows?

That afpr is really simple to take apart and check the diaphram. What fuel pump is this on? Do a deadhead test and see what psi the pump can provide.

Twin (255 lt/h GSS341 HP) Walbros......
They are both new and bought these from Boostlogic.com, not ebay ones.

On boost (base pressure 37 psi and boost target 15 psi) , fuel pressure stops at
45 psi. I know that the high performance 255lt/h GSS pumps can go higher!

Aeromotive sells rebuild kits now that are pretty cheap, but I'd rule out the pumps/lines first with a deadhead test.
